On the road

By Jenni Leonard

In the last month, the Lincolns team have been traveling across the Great Southern for the “Lincolns Rural Tour”.  Our impetus for the Rural Tour was helping farmers come to grips with Single Touch Payroll that will apply to all employers from 1 July.

Where we went

We held seminars in 11 locations – Green Range, Jerramungup, Ravensthorpe, Newdegate, Dumbleyung, Kojonup, Williams, Wickepin, Frankland, Borden and Gnowangerup.  A total of 178 people attended – what a great turn out!  Thanks to the Community Resource Centres, all the local people who provided catering and Agrimaster for their support.

What you told us

We really appreciate the feedback that was submitted through our online survey.  We received responses from 93 people and the feedback was very positive – good to know that we selected content that is relevant and that we didn’t send people to sleep.  Your input gave us some insight into seminar topics we can look at delivering in the future.

These include:

  • Succession planning

  • More on Wagemaster and Agrimaster

  • How to understand financials

  • More on HR and employer obligations

  • Basic tax principles relating to farming and tax strategies

  • Budgets

  • Investing for retirement

  • Superannuation

Congratulations to Natalie Milne for winning our survey prize draw.

Single Touch Payroll & Employment Seminar

email-banner-2-w640.png

The Lincolns Rural Tour might be finished but we are still on the road.  This week we are embarking on a series of Single Touch Payroll and Employment seminars for businesses in Albany, Denmark and Mt Barker.

These seminars are free and open to all, not only Lincolns clients.

We will outline Human Resources and Single Touch Payroll requirements including demonstrations on both Xero and MYOB payroll functions.  We will also include a bonus session on getting the most from your Superannuation and Life Insurance.

If you live too far away to attend but you are interested in this seminar, please let us know and we could perhaps organise one in your area.

Coming soon - Our invoices will be delivered by email

We are soon going to introduce a change to our invoicing system.  This means that invoices and statements will be delivered by email rather than by post.  You will also have better payment options including paying online direct from the invoice.

We still have some work to do to get this in place and more information on this change will be coming out from us over the next month or two.  In the meantime, if you have any questions, please call us on 9841 1200.

Lincolns Lappers, swimming again in the MS Swim-a-thon

swim-w640.jpg

Support MS Swim-a-thon Albany on 23 March 2019 by making a donation to our team of fundraisers

We have again put a team of 10.  We are calling ourselves Lincolns Lappers and will be swimming for 8 hours to help raise funds to help local people cope with everyday life while living with MS.

MS is a debilitating disease that affects people of all ages.  They have various symptoms that affect their daily lives.  There is no cure for MS – people with MS have to manage the symptoms the best they can.

It is fantastic day to experience.  You are welcome to come down and observe from poolside the day as it unfolds.  Another opportunity for the Lincolns team to bond further while contributing to the community.
